These Galaxy devices will get Android 8.0 Oreo update

All of the latest Galaxy phone users have a common question now. When will my Galaxy phone get the latest Android 8.0 update. Well, there is no exact date on which the update will be rolled out to the devices but the devices which will get the Android 8.0 are released.

The Galaxy phones listed below will get Android 8.0
  • Galaxy S8 – Android 8.0 Oreo will be the first major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy S8+  – Android 8.0 will be the first major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy Note 8  – Android 8.0 will be the first major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy S7 – Android 8.0 will be the second major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy S7 edge – Android 8.0 will be the second major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy S7 Active – Android 8.0 will be the second major OS upgrade
  • Galaxy A7 (2017)  – Android 8.0 will be the second major OS upgrade

These Galaxy phones may or may not get Android 8.0

  • Galaxy Tab S2 VE (2016 models) – update track record unclear

These Galaxys will not get Android 8.0

  • Galaxy A7 (2016) – received two major Android upgrades before

  10. Whoa! I’m enjoying the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a very good job with this.
