Now we have an app which stops charging once it reaches 80%. Pretty good one to use to have a good battery life.
Prerequisite:
This app required a rooted phone running android 4.4 or higher
Instructions:
Install the app from here
Enable the limit in the app.
Change the charging limit as you desire. Default and recommended value is 80.
